What it is
Trask's prototypes are lumbering metal giants; the future models are made of Mystique's DNA and simply become whatever they are hit with, which is why the war is already lost when the film opens. The comics' great mutant-extinction machine, and the only Fox villain that ever felt like an actual threat to the species.
