Black Widow's masked enforcer is revealed to be the child Natasha thought she had killed in Budapest, wired into obedience by the man who survived the bomb. Thunderbolts* brings her back free of the conditioning and gives her about a scene and a half, which is either a bold structural choice or a waste, depending on who you ask.
