Who they are

The Void's queen: a telepath as strong as her brother, with none of his scruples and a habit of putting her fingers inside people's heads to make the point. Deadpool & Wolverine gives her the run of the place and a plan to destroy the timeline that dumped her, which is the only thing in the film that is not a joke.

From the comics

She killed sixteen million mutants in her first issue

Morrison's Cassandra Nova is a mummudrai — a parasitic twin Charles strangled in the womb, who rebuilt herself and sent the Sentinels to Genosha. The scale of that opening, and the sheer nastiness of her body-swapping with Charles, is why she is remembered as the X-Men's most frightening villain.

New X-Men #114–126 (2001–2002), Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely
