Who they are

Dorff plays him as a nightclub promoter running a hostile takeover of a thousand-year-old institution — the film's smartest idea is that vampire society is a set of boardrooms and he is the ambitious outsider in it. The blood god ritual in the third act is the plot; the class resentment is the character.
