Who they are
Church plays him almost silently, and the film gives him the best effects work of the trilogy: a man reassembling himself out of a heap on a floor, entirely by will. Spider-Man 3 wants him to be both the villain and the excuse, which is more weight than the plot can carry — but No Way Home finds him years later, still tired, still trying to get home.
