Who they are

Spider-Man 3 casts Gwen — the great tragedy of the comics — as the other woman in a love triangle, which is one of the clearer signs the film is carrying more plot than it can hold. Howard is good in it anyway, and her one scene of genuine remorse is the only apology anybody in that film makes properly.
