Who they are
Everything Harry does across three films is an attempt to be seen by Norman, including the parts that make him monstrous. Franco plays the inheritance as a kind of illness: the same face, the same glider, the same laugh, arriving a generation late. The trilogy gives him the one thing his father never managed, which is a choice at the end.
