Who they are

Lucky is a straight lift from the Fraction and Aja run, where he gets a whole issue told from his point of view. The series keeps everything that matters about him: he is loyal, he is unbothered, and he is the reason Kate ends up with an apartment full of arrows and a dog she cannot afford.

Pizza Dog

In the comics Lucky belongs to the Tracksuit Draculas until Clint Barton takes a beating for him, and Hawkeye #11 is told entirely from the dog's perspective — scent-map panels, no readable dialogue, a murder mystery solved by smell. It won an Eisner.
