Who they are

Ironheart's final episode gives the internet what it asked for: Sacha Baron Cohen as the devil, in a diner, offering Riri Williams what she wants most. He is Marvel's Faust engine — the entity behind Ghost Rider, the Hood and the end of Peter Parker's marriage — and the show plays him quiet, funny and patient, which is far more unsettling than horns.

From the comics

He ended a marriage

One More Day has Peter Parker and Mary Jane trade their marriage to Mephisto to save Aunt May's life, an editorially mandated reset that the readership has not forgiven in eighteen years. It is why every MCU mystery from WandaVision onward was assumed to be him.

The Amazing Spider-Man #544–545, Sensational Spider-Man #41, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #24 (2007), J. Michael Straczynski and Joe Quesada

Where this might be going

Guesses, not canon — reasoning from the comics and from what the films have already set up. None of it has happened on screen.

The deals are the setup

Plausible

Two people on screen now owe him — Parker Robbins and Riri Williams — and the character never makes a deal he does not intend to collect on. Whether that is a Ghost Rider film, a Midnight Sons series or a Doomsday side door is anyone's guess.
