Who they are
Isaac plays him as a man who has done something unforgivable to a universe of his own and has organised his whole life around never letting anyone else try it. He is the antagonist of Across the Spider-Verse without being a villain — his canon theory is either load-bearing physics or grief with a spreadsheet, and the film deliberately does not say which.

The 2099 line
Marvel 2099 was a corporate-dystopia imprint, and Miguel — a geneticist who rewrites his own DNA to escape a drug his employer has hooked him on — is the only character from it that lasted. The talons, the fangs and the day-glo suit are all straight off the page.
