Who they are

Skurge is Ragnarok's study in ordinary collaboration: he is not cruel, he is ambitious and frightened, and he signs up to a massacre because the alternative is going back to guarding a bridge. The film then does something better than punish him, and it is the only genuinely moving beat in a comedy.
