Who they are
Kristofferson plays him as a dying armourer with a grudge and a workshop: a hunter whose family was killed by a vampire and who has spent fifty years engineering the tools rather than swinging them. Invented for the 1998 film — there is no Whistler in the comics before it — and now inseparable from the character.
