Who they are
Aneka trains the Dora Milaje and argues with their traditions, which is the film's way of showing an institution starting to modernise from inside. She and Ayo take the Midnight Angel armour out without permission, and the punishment and the vindication arrive in the same scene.

From the comics
Ayo and Aneka
In the comics the two are a couple and, once expelled from the Dora Milaje, the founders of the Midnight Angels — a breakaway unit that decides Wakanda's women are worth defending whether or not the throne agrees. World of Wakanda tells their story as its main plot rather than a subplot.
