Who they are
The Blip is a plot device for most people and a childhood for Cassie: five years without a father, and a father who returns to find a teenager. Quantumania gives her a suit and a cause, Doomsday gives her a seat at the table, and she is the franchise's clearest bridge to the Young Avengers the comics keep promising.

Stature of the Young Avengers
Cassie steals Pym Particles as a teenager, grows to giant size and joins the Young Avengers as Stature — the first of that team the films have caught up with. She dies in Children's Crusade and is brought back, which the comics do to almost everyone eventually.
Young Avengers #1–12 (2005–2006), Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung
