Who they are

The film is a 1970s Marvel horror premise made with none of the horror: a doctor who invents artificial blood, refuses the prize, and then experiments on himself because he has run out of patience. Leto plays it entirely straight, the two post-credits scenes make no sense in any continuity, and the whole thing became a meme before it left cinemas.
