Who they are
Namor predates Marvel itself — created in 1939, which makes him the company's first mutant and one of its first heroes. Wakanda Forever recasts him as a Mesoamerican deity-king protecting a hidden people, which gives the film two nations with identical logic and opposite conclusions about the surface world.
