Who they are
Wonder Man is the MCU's satire of itself: a series about a superpowered actor auditioning for a film about a superhero, opposite Trevor Slattery, who has been there before. Simon is likeable, ambitious and slightly lost, and the show treats fame as the only power that matters in Los Angeles.

He was a villain, then a corpse, then an Avenger
Simon Williams is created by Baron Zemo to infiltrate the Avengers, dies saving them in his first story, and stays dead for years before his brain patterns become the Vision's and he himself is revived. The actor career comes later, and the films keep only that.
