Who they are
Across the Spider-Verse begins him as a joke — a man who keeps falling through his own hands — and then takes him seriously with unusual patience: every hole is a place he has been, he is the accident that made Miles, and he is teaching himself to aim. Schwartzman plays the humiliation, which is what makes the escalation work.
