Who they are
Killian's pitch in 1999 is a business card and a rooftop meeting nobody keeps; thirteen years later he owns the treatment, the private army and the news cycle. Iron Man 3 makes him the franchise's sharpest joke about celebrity: the villain's real innovation is not Extremis, it is understanding that a face on television is a weapons system.
