Who they are
Started as the only person willing to manage Tony Stark's calendar and ended up running the company considerably better than he ever did. Pepper's arc is the reverse of everyone else's: she gets less involved in the superheroics over time, on purpose, and the one film that puts her in a suit does it as a farewell.
