Who they are
Lincoln is a transitioner: someone who came through Terrigenesis intact and was kept on to help the next arrivals do the same. He conducts electricity and, more usefully, explains things. Afterlife trains him to distrust S.H.I.E.L.D. and he spends a season deciding whether it was right to.
