Who they are
Recruited as an asset because she was better at finding S.H.I.E.L.D. than S.H.I.E.L.D. was at hiding, and kept because Coulson liked her. Seven seasons take her from a van full of stolen servers to the agency's most dangerous field officer, by way of a name she did not know she had. Her power is seismic and she learns it the hard way, on her own bones.

Quake in the comics
The page version is also Calvin Zabo's daughter, also seismic, and also recruited by Nick Fury — as a teenager, into a caveat-free black programme rather than a plane full of specialists. She is the field leader of Fury's Secret Warriors, which is the closest the comics get to the team the show actually built.
