Who they are
Medusa is the diplomatic half of the throne: the one who negotiates, reads a room and delivers the sentences Black Bolt cannot. Her prehensile hair is her weapon and, the series is at pains to establish, her identity. Losing it is the first thing that happens to her on Earth.

From the comics
The Frightful Four first
Medusa arrived on the page as a villain with amnesia, fighting the Fantastic Four alongside the Wizard and the Sandman, months before anyone established that she was Inhuman royalty. The retrofit stuck so well that the original reads now like an early chapter of her own story.
Fantastic Four #36-38 (1965); the Inhumans proper from Fantastic Four #45 (1965)
