What it is
A dynasty organised entirely around Terrigenesis: the ceremony decides what each of them can do, and therefore what each of them is for. Black Bolt rules without speaking, Medusa translates, Karnak advises, Gorgon commands the guard, and the arrangement has held for generations because nobody has forced the question of the caste system underneath it. One member came out of the ceremony with nothing, and that is the plot.
