Who they are

The animation makes him a shape rather than a man: a rectangle in a white jacket with a head like a fist, drawn so wide he does not fit in a frame with anyone. His motive is the best-kept idea in the film — a man tearing holes in reality to get his family back — and he is the reason a thirteen-year-old is in danger at all.
