What it is
Carlton Drake's company: a pharmaceutical giant with a rocket programme, a wing full of homeless volunteers nobody will ask after, and four symbiotes in tanks. Its founding argument — that humanity has to be merged with something to survive what is coming — is close enough to right to be unsettling.
