Who they are
The smartest man on whichever Earth he is standing on, which is the problem every version of him has: he can always see the solution, and the solution is usually something the people who love him will have to live with. First Steps keeps him a father and a husband first, which is the only reading of the character that has ever worked.

The Council of Reeds
Reed meets a multiversal council of alternate Reeds who have all solved everything by abandoning their families. It is the thesis Hickman spends six years testing, and it ends in the incursions that destroy the multiverse — the road that leads to Secret Wars.
