Who they are
King, Black Panther, and the first Wakandan ruler to decide the secret was costing more than it protected. T'Challa's arc is unusually adult for the genre: he is not tempted by power, he is confronted by the possibility that his father was wrong and his cousin is right about the harm, and he changes the country's foreign policy rather than winning an argument.
