Who they are
Sold into the Red Room as a child after three years pretending to be an American girl in Ohio, and the only one of them who reacts to freedom by immediately going back for the others. Yelena's grief for Natasha runs under everything she does afterwards; Valentina points it at Clint Barton, and it takes Kate Bishop about ten minutes to talk her out of it.
