The place itself
The Abomination fight tore up 125th Street in 2011 and nobody in the neighbourhood got an apology. Five years later it is Luke Cage's beat — a place with its own politics, its own money and its own opinion about a bulletproof man in a hoodie, which the show takes considerably more seriously than the films take any of their cities.
