Queens teenager, Stark's protégé, and the franchise's most reliable argument that the small stuff matters.

Who they are

Recruited at fifteen into a fight between adults, Peter spends three films being told he is not ready and one being proved right. The price of undoing the exposure of his identity is that everyone who ever loved him forgets he exists — which leaves him exactly where the character always works best: broke, alone, and still going out.

From the comics

Kraven's Last Hunt

Kraven shoots Peter, buries him alive, and wears the costume for two weeks to prove he was always the better Spider-Man. Widely held to be the best Spider-Man story ever published, and nothing like the Kraven film that reached screens.

Where this might be going

Guesses, not canon — reasoning from the comics and from what the films have already set up. None of it has happened on screen.

Brand New Day is a loaded title

Plausible

In print, Brand New Day is what follows One More Day — the story where Peter trades his marriage to erase his public identity, and wakes up in a world that has forgotten. No Way Home already ran that ending. The title suggests the film is interested in the aftermath the comics were criticised for skipping.
